Meet the president of our
company, Brooke Huckert.
Brooke founded ValuePoint Wealth Management after more than 10 years in the financial services industry. She saw a disconnect and impersonal approach to financial planning and set out to change it. This change has allowed her to retain true independence as a fiduciary to do what is in the best interest of her clients, with no proprietary conflict. Brooke helps families prepare for one of the largest transitions of their lives – retirement. This starts with strategies to plan and pay for children's college without reducing retirement funds, to creating comprehensive retirement plans that address all angles of a constantly changing landscape. Knowledge is power, and Brooke is passionate about empowering others with a sense of financial literacy. It is her commitment and accountability that is instrumental in helping her clients reach their investment and retirement goals.
She married her husband shortly after graduating from Texas A&M, and they are the proud parents of 4 children. When she is not helping her clients, she is likely at a practice, ball game, dance recital or band concert...just soaking up these years that are going by too fast.
Q&A
Q. What makes your practice different from other firms?
A. We are specific in what we do and who we can help. By specializing in income planning and tactical asset management for the retirement years, we can create comprehensive solutions that give our clients the future they imagine without the fear and risk that notoriously come with it. You only get one retirement. Let’s make it a great one!
Q. What was the biggest influence in your career choice?
A. My first job was educating individuals on Medicare and Social Security. I loved it, and the gratitude people felt simply because I was able to help them understand these confusing topics was massive. That is when I realized how much comprehensive planning and education is needed in today's landscape.
Q. Something about you that may surprise your clients?
A. I am a tomboy at heart. I grew up in the country with two older brothers, so all I ever knew was playing sports and taking care of animals to show in the county fair. I still love small town life!
Q. #1 personality trait needed to perform your job?
A. Empathy. The job is not about us, it is about us doing the right thing for the client. In order to be empathetic, you have to be a good listener and be compassionate. You must have the necessary training to understand how to find the solution, but it all starts with empathy.
